Our Mission

Our Mission is to create safe and accepting social networks and events for members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Questioning (GLBT-Q) community and their advocates.

We encourage acceptance and communication between the GLBT-Q family, its advocates and our local communities through diversity education, community service and providing social opportunities that help to break down cultural barriers and promote human equality.

We hope to inspire our members to be comfortable sharing life’s experiences and being themselves.

SPECTRUM is a nonprofit organization. Since our founding in 1998, our goal is to be a safe and welcome community for all gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people in Northern Nevada.
